Stokes Automation Systems was started by Don Stokes to promote the use of the GNU/Linux operating system and other open source software in industrial environments. As the same advantages of open source software apply to office environments, Stokes Automation Systems caters to businesses as well.
Don Stokes has over 25 years of experience in the computer industry. His projects have included:

He has also provided services including Linux system administration, technical support, and user training.
Don Stokes holds a bachelor of science degree (magna cum laude) in computer science from Oakland University. He is currently a graduate student there.
He is a veteran of the Michigan Air National Guard where he served as a flight simulator specialist.
